About Andrea
The journey has been filled with extraordinarily ordinary moments, and, when I was lucky, those moments lasted for weeks and months. Learning to listen to my own voice, follow my own path, and move away from the haters took courage, intentionality, and hard work. I came to realize through the great joys and great sufferings that it was all very ordinary human stuff. This is what it meant to be a human being, and others had similar stories. There were more people than I realized who had struggled and survived the same difficulties I dealt with and it came together that we are all extraordinarily ordinary and that’s a great thing. Our humanness makes us unique and unites us. We don’t have to be standout fame-seekers, climbing to the top of the world. We can be ordinary people, living through it all while simultaneously enjoying the journey. The mundane moments mean something.
An old and dear friend once told me, “You are going to have a great old age because you have had a tough time as a young woman.” I began to embrace this saying and felt the need to share with others that the struggle, the joy, the accomplishment, the hard work, doesn’t have to be mountaintop. Those periods in life will keep rolling in and out. We can be fully human where we are, when we are, with balance, perseverance, trust, and laughter. And, even better, we can do it together. That’s where Extraordinarily Ordinary really came to life and I realized I had something worthwhile to offer and share. I’d love to partner with you!
